The updates to the congressional directory for today include:
Today’s updates to the Congressional Directory include:
Thanks as usual to CongressMerge for the updated informaiton.
Today’s updates just include a few tweaks to the House staffing information (again) and changes reflecting the fact that the House Committee on Armed Services did away with the temporary Defense Acquisition Panel and added the House Panel on Defense Fiscal Management.
I had some time this morning to add some updates to the congressional directory.
- Noted a resignation on the House Committee on the Judiciary.
- Noted two new House member district offices have opened up.
- Minor tweaks to House member staffing information and House member biographical information.
Updates to the Congressional Directory today include:
Today saw the swearing in or two new members of the House, both elected in special elections on Tuesday, September 13.
Representative Mark Amodei (R – NV) (pronounced AM-uh-dei like “Amadeus”) was sworn in. He represents the second district in Nevada replacing Dean Heller, who was appointed to the Senate in May.
Representative Bob Turner (R – NY) was sworn in. He represents the ninth district in New York, replaced disgraced Representative Anthony Wiener. Jennifer Manning of the Library of Congress notes that at age 70, Turner is the oldest “Freshman” House member in almost 50 years.
I made a few small updates to the congressional directory. They are outlined below. I also want to note (for google to index) that the official name of the “Supercommittee” that is going to be doing all the recommendations for budget cuts in the next few weeks is the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction and we do provide contact information for them here.
Updates made to the congressional directory today:
The only update to the congressional directory today is a new web contact form for Representative Rick Berg (R – ND).
Only change for today is that I updated the Capitol Hill suite information for Senator Mark R. Warner (D- VA).
