Update Notes for November 18, 2010
I have been adding all the new members of Congress that have been sworn in over the last week to fill in vacant posts. The major change will occur on January 3, 2011 when all the winners of the 2010 elections will be sworn in.
Update Notes for November 3, 2010
With the midterm elections yesterday, there are three appointments to the Senate expired with the election: Kaufman (DE), Burris (IL), and Goodwin (WV). Those are now vacant seats to be filled at the start of the Lame Duck session November 15 with winners from today’s elections. Also to be filled on November 15 are the winners to fill vacant House seats in the 3rd district of Indiana and the 29th district of New York.
And for those people either celebrating or bemoaning the Republican gains in yesterday’s election, I will remind you of the Onion article form the last midterm elections that in the end politicians took all seats in the House and Senate, so really, we all lost.
