I have made an update of the database to put this site in sync with the Congress Merge database. Changes include:

  * 28 changes have been made in House member contact information.  * 61 changes have been made in House staff information.  * 223 changes have been made in House Committee Membership.  * 10 changes have been made in House district offices.  * 5 changes have been made in Senate member contact information.  * 10 changes have been made in Senate staff information.  * 7 changes have been made in Senate district offices. 

A general update of the database to re-synchronize with Congress Merge and thanks to the students of Ms. Avery’s class for finding a typo on my Power Search page.

Another update for several minor changes. The most visible change was the resignation of Representative Porter Goss (FL-R) to allow him to head the CIA.

A major data update for well over 1000 changes in the last month (mostly updates to contact information). I am now back in synch with the Congress Merge database again.

I have synchronized the database with the current Congress Merge database as well as adjusting the mailing routine to deal with people who enter no return email addres.

Fixed some problems with my access logs overwhelming my disk space. Also, I have re-synchronized the data with the Congress Merge database yet again.

• 5 changes have been made in House member contact information.
• 125 changes have been made in House member biographies.
• 2 changes have been made in House district offices.
• 1 changes have been made in Senate member contact information.
• 2 changes have been made in Senate district offices.

This will likely be the last change until the end of the month as I will be travelling.

I synchronized with the Congress Merge database again. The major changes were a slew of district office updates and contact information updates for:

• Representative Joe Knollenberg (R-MI)
• Representative Nick Lampson (D-TX)

Updated my database to be in sync with the CongressMerge database. Most notable change is that Representative Frank Ballance (D-NC), citing health problems has resigned his seat. Mr. Ballance served on the Agriculture and Small Business Committees, and was ranking minority member on the Small Business Rural Enterprises, Agriculture, and Technology Subcommittee. A special election to fill the vacant seat will be held on either July 20 or August 17.

Noted the election of Representative Stephanie Herseth (D-SD) to the House yesterday in a special election to replace Rep. Bill Jankow. She will serve until at least January 2005, although she will have to run again for office in November 2004 (against the same opponent she had in this special election!).
