Representative Julian Dixon (D-CA-32) passed away yesterday of an apparent heart attack at an age of 66. This has been noted in the database and Congressional Committees & Subcommittees data has been updated for his passing.
I have updated the email addresses for Senator Zell Miller (D-GA) and Senator Arlen Specter (R-PA) and fixed a typo in the email address for Senator Frank Murkowski (R-AK)
Finally, I updated DC FAX numbers for 2 member of Congress from New York and also updated staffing information for 28 Administrative Assistants, 32 Appointment Secretaries, 22 Legislative Directors, and 25 Communications Directors.
This site will be updated for the 107th Congress early next month…hopefully with some additional updates on this end.

Someone, they claim to be the Republican National Committee, has sent out a huge spam telling people to complain to Congress about the election and listing my site as the resource to use. Unfortunately, a bunch of people are emailing me calling me all sorts of evil things for being a spammer. I have placed a notive on my site redirecting their anger at the RNC. But in any case, one good things, lots of people testing the data in the database and providing updates. Here’s a batch…

The Committees and Subcommittees database has been updated for the changes in the House Committees due to the death of Representative Bruce Vento (D-MN).

Representative Bruce Vento (D-MN) passed away this morning due to complications with lung cancer. He had announced his cancer and his retirement in February, so his seat will be filled during the Novermber elections. He was also my (Juan Cabanela’s) Representative for many years, I will miss him, even though I didn’t always agree with him, he had a genuine interest in his constituents and doing well for them. I will miss him.

After a very quiet month, I have added the new web mail and web site addresses for Senator Zell Miller (D-GA).

Representative Herb Bateman (R-VA) passed away in his sleep. Since his seat was up for re-election this November, it will be filled at that time.
