Update Notes for February 8, 2012

In addition to the various updates to contact information for members of Congress and updated the ZIP code to Congressional District mapping data.  I also add the newly elected Representative Suzanne Bonamici (D-OR), who was elected to fill the seat vacated by David Wu amid a sex scandal involving “aggressive and unwanted sexual behavior” with a young woman (reference)… in other words, being a likely rapist.

Traffic is starting to rise. Most of the rise seems to be attributable to inbound links from sites urging people to stop the United States Congress from imposing internet censorship via the SOPA law as a means of stopping piracy.  Frankly, I think it is despicable that the best solution that Congress can come up with is to copy the Syrian approach to using wholesale censorship to deal with a contract law problem.  Sort of like using an atomic bomb to kill a fly.  Its nice to see most of the major internet companies seem to agree.
